Just a little exercise I challenged myself with after work.
I really wanted to focus on composition and experiment with some assets and filters like a chromatic aberration in my work.
The idea came while looking through my old work and I decided to update some old fan art from the force awakens. Rather than create another study I wanted to push the idea of an x-wing in flight and frame a real-world training exercise but with outer-worlds ships. I really wanted to ground the storytelling and composition in practical camera setups, so I experimented with what it would look like if you actually mounted the camera to aircraft. Framing around the cockpit as well as mounting the camera to the wings, I was inspired by the innovative filmmaking on Top Gun: Maverick.
